Music Matinee today is my “Book Worm” song on my Wild and Woolly Wiggle Songs album for children. This song has been a standard in my library show for many years. I wrote this song because as a child my father was an avid reader, and had a library in our house. I would go into that library, play “librarian,” and dream about my books being on those shelves. I became an avid reader myself even though I was a slow reader. Soon, people began calling me a book worm. To honor all the book worms out there, I came up with the lyrics and music for this tune.
